"I was always shown opportunities to develop myself here. I just had to seize them." Maximilian Beyer

Hi Max, tell us some facts and figures about you.

I am Maximilian Beyer, 32 years old, married and live in Münchberg. My passion is car racing (slalom and orienteering). I have been with RAUMEDIC since 2007 and have already passed through various stations here.

And there have been quite a few:

I started with an apprenticeship as a process mechanic. After that, I was an operator in the thermoplastic extrusion department for a few years. Later I switched to trial production.

Since 2019, I have been working as a production coordinator, and in parallel I am in the training phase to become a production area manager. I will take over this position at the beginning of next year. To be well prepared for this, I completed my further training as an industrial foreman for plastics and rubber last year.

What does a typical day at RAUMEDIC look like for you?

For example, I am adjusting master data and take care of production processes in thermoplastic extrusion. There are several tasks to keep an eye on,  such as: When does which order have to run, do we have everything we need for the order and do we need assistance from other departments.

In general, I coordinate and monitor a large number of ongoing projects. At the same time, I'm familiarizing myself with the tasks of the production area manager, which involves personnel responsibility for almost 70 people.

I manage this balancing act quite well, as it had already been decided for some time that I would take on this task. This gives me plenty of opportunities to ask questions during my induction phase.

What excites you most about your work and about RAUMEDIC?

We manufacture products that help many people. That inspires me and makes me happy to work here.

Likewise, RAUMEDIC stands for variety for me personally. I have never done the same job for more than five years and have always been able to stay with the company. I was always shown opportunities to develop myself here. I just had to seize them.

What would you do with an extra hour in the day?

At RAUMEDIC, I would use the time to spend even more time on the shop floor to get feedback from my colleagues on how everything is going. Privately, I would spend the hour with my family and friends.

Describe RAUMEDIC in three characteristics:

Half of my life, stands for the region, gives opportunities
