RAUMEDIC focused on “Serving Pharma”

Global Polymer Specialist Launches Biopharma Fluid Processing Portfolio, Reveals New Brand for Tubing, and Solidifies Commitment with New Manufacturing Facility.

RAUMEDIC, a leading global provider of polymer-based product solutions for the medical and pharmaceutical industries, has extended its portfolio for biopharmaceutical fluid processing products and launched a new brand for biocompatible tubing. Further, the company is expanding its global headquarters with a cutting-edge ISO-7 clean room manufacturing facility. For over a decade, RAUMEDIC serviced a key solutions provider in the biopharmaceutical and life science sector exclusively as an exclusive supplier. Now, leveraging more than 70 years of polymer processing expertise, the company is offering its state-of-the-art product range directly to the broader market.

The portfolio encompasses a diverse selection of biocompatible fluid processing tubing from various materials: SILMOTION - silicone tubing, BRAIDMOTION - braided silicone tubing, THERMMOTION - TPE tubing, PVC tubing, and FEP tubing. Additionally, the range features tubing connectors constructed from PC (polycarbonate), along with tailored customer-specific developments such as tube sets.

Serving Pharma as a One-Stop-Shop for Polymeric Product Solutions

Nina Kaiser, Head of Pharma, explains why RAUMEDIC has decided to openly serve the pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries - as a direct supplier: “When it comes to polymer tubing, RAUMEDIC is one of only a handful of global companies sophisticated enough to fulfill the strenuous regulatory demands for extruded biopharma tubing itself. But our capabilities actually go beyond this.”, says Ms. Kaiser.

When asked about what truly sets RAUMEDIC apart from its competition, Ms. Kaiser points out that “it’s the ability to serve customer demands in the entire product environment of polymer fluid processing products, made possible through our broad technological expertise and repertoire”.

With manufacturing technologies such as extrusion, molding, and assemblies available across five global production sites, Ms. Kaiser points out that “RAUMEDIC has set out to become a true one-stop-shop for polymeric product solutions for pharma and biopharma fluid processing products.”

New ISO-7 Clean Room Manufacturing Facility: Commitment to Industry Partnerships

RAUMEDIC is also expanding its global headquarters in Germany with the construction of a state-of-the-art ISO-7 clean room manufacturing facility. With the expansion, the company is underlining its intent of becoming a premier destination for industry partners in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.

To actively promote these opportunities for new partnerships in the market, RAUMEDIC has chosen the claims 'WE SERVE PHARMA' and 'SERVING PHARMA'. This decision underscores the polymer specialist's strategic intent and commitment to collaborations with the (bio-)pharmaceutical industry.

New Brand Names for Sought-After Tubing

As part of its new strategic alliance with the pharma and biopharma industries, RAUMEDIC has also unveiled its registered brand names for three of its most coveted biocompatible tubing products:

  • SILMOTION for silicone tubing with a unique and patented Low-Tack surface.

  • BRAIDMOTION for braided silicone tubing with medical grade PET mesh material.
  • THERMMOTION for TPE tubing that is free of Irgafos168 and optimized for cell growth.

Tubing is in stock available in common standard dimensions – or can be provided in customer-specific dimensions on request.
