Jochen Bucher is certain that the so-called fieldbook will in future be of great service to the fire department: “In case of an alarm, this tablet makes it possible for the fire fighters to have important data right at their fingertips, which can potentially save lives.” And he explains further: “The local fire department has already been called out to Raumedic several times, even though these were fortunately only minor incidents.” The manufacturer of medical technology employs around 500 employees at the Helmbrechts location and wanted to show its appreciation with this donation.
Markus Richter, First Captain of the Volunteer Fire Department, gratefully accepted the fieldbook and emphasized that the robust device will optimize the processes in case they are being called out. “With this device, we can digitally hold available fire department routing cards, hazardous substance data and rescue spec sheets for various vehicle types. When things get serious, all this information is quickly available and that saves precious time.”
