“Due to the coronavirus, our donation reserve has shrunk significantly,” explained Zoo Director Sandra Dollhäupl. Because without any visitors, there are no entrance fees. But the animals still need to be well cared for – and to achieve this, unforeseen repair work and planned expansions also need to be financed.
Dollhäupl would like to see the lynx enclosure extended first. The homes of the racoons and the capuchin monkeys also await redevelopment. Dominik Bauer, responsible for marketing communication at Raumedic, is looking forward to seeing the new projects implemented step-by-step. “As the only zoo in Upper Franconia, Zoo Hof is a real attraction in the region, so we were more than happy to support it,” he stated on the donation.
