Trainees start their career with a team-building event

Helmbrechts – Tackling challenges as a group and getting to know future colleagues and modern work methods – the first day on the job was filled with variety for the new trainees at Raumedic.

With a special activity to launch the training program, the medical technology company welcomed 11 young people to its headquarters in Helmbrechts on September 2:

  • Ugur Altuntas (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Tamer Cetkin (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Celine Hermanns (medical-technology educational program with a strong practical focus)
  • Murat Karatas (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Lukas Kosch (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Dominik Michel (mechatronics engineer)
  • Niklas Müller (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Ege Özkan (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Yanniz Reichelt (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology molded parts)
  • Kristian Remche (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology semi-finished products)
  • Jonas Ziegler (process mechanic for plastic/rubber technology molded parts)

The focus of the morning work was team spirit. During several outdoor games, the new trainees and their colleagues from earlier training years had to demonstrate their ability to work together well. Plans were devised together and agreements reached to ensure that all participants could reach the target.

After lunch, the group gained some theoretical and practical insights into agile project management. HR manager Walter Reingruber, who oversees the training program for the Helmbrechts-based medical technology company, said: “We intend to introduce the young people to contemporary work techniques in addition to providing them with a solid base of technical knowledge.” As part of this effort, the trainees worked in small groups to develop an event concept using agile methods.

“The launch of the training program marks a new phase in the trainees’ lives and takes them into uncharted territory,” said HR assistant Ina Reuther, who served as the main organizer of the event. But she was not the only person who was happy to answer the group’s questions. Colleagues who are in their second or third year of training were also available throughout the day to provide the new group with information about the training program and their new employer.
