Raumedic to showcase silicone expertise at Medical Technology Ireland

Helmbrechts/Galway – From September 26 to 27, Raumedic will be present at Medical Technology Ireland, which takes place at the renowned Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway. At booth no. 48, the company will be demonstrating its capabilities as a development partner and systems supplier for the medical technology industry. The manufacturer that maintains a sales office in Derry, Northern Ireland, will also highlight its expertise in processing medical-grade silicones.

“Silicone resists extreme mechanical strains and offers a wide application spectrum,” explains Conor Ward, Area Sales Manager at Raumedic. As the material possesses a high purity grade, it is particularly suitable for implants. “The excellent biocompatibility of our silicone tubing makes it ideal for the use in PD catheters or as tubing in the pharmaceutical fluid handling area, for example,” adds Raumedic Sales Manager Johan Wessman, who is locally based in the Galway area.

For many decades, Raumedic has been processing medical-grade thermoplastic polymers and silicones by injection molding and extrusion. The medical technology manufacturer specializes in developing customized components for its customers, including: tubing, catheters and molded parts as well as complex groups of components and systems for different diagnostic and therapeutic uses.
