Horst Bärthel, a quality-assurance employee, and Jürgen Christ, an extrusion technical expert, have worked at Raumedic for four decades now. Both started their careers in 1979 with training to become plastics technicians. In his remarks, Executive Board Member Martin Schenkel, who, as Chief Operating Officer (COO), is responsible for production, expressed his appreciation for the many years of work together. “From an employer’s perspective, it’s a particular honor that you’ve remained loyal to us for forty years now.”
The Executive Board is no less proud of working together with six other employees. Following a retrospective glance at the events of 1994 as well as the honorees’ careers, Schenkel congratulated the following colleagues on the occasion of their 25th anniversary working at the company.
- Martin Gebele, employee in production service
- Andreas Kloster, employee in logistics
- Michael Ludwig, shop-floor worker in extrusion
- Alexander Michel, operator in extrusion/processing
- Jürgen Neefischer, operator in extrusion/processing
- Viktor Schlichenmaier, employee in logistics
“Your technical knowledge and your years of practical work experience have contributed to the ongoing growth of Raumedic,” Schenkel said, and then made this request: “Please continue with your dedicated application of knowledge at our company in the future, too.”
But it wasn’t just the honorees who were thanked for their long-term commitment. The Executive Board also recognized the services of shop-floor workers Norbert Nixel and Wilhelm Reisch, who, after working at Raumedic for 33 and 24 years, respectively, were retiring. “I’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you for your dedication and your loyalty,” Schenkel said. “Enjoy your retirement to its fullest!”
Raumedic employs 80 people at its plant in Feuchtwangen, Germany. There, the plastics specialist manufactures medical tubing using extrusion processing.
