For Dr. Claudia Stern, Product Manager at ElringKlinger Kunststofftechnik, this agreement marks an important milestone in the expansion of Moldflon™'s product portfolio. As a result of this cooperation, the excellent material properties will be utilized for new and innovative medical engineering products, which will be offered worldwide.

About Moldflon™:

Moldflon™ is a new type of thermoplastic material that, in contrast to regular PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), can be processed from the melt - a major advantage in terms of economy and processability for PTFE.

The raw material Moldflon™ - similar to the classic PTFE - meets all requirements for use in medical instruments and construction components. It features a comprehensive chemical resistance and temperature resistance at high and extremely low temperatures. Moreover, it is non-flammable and possesses excellent gliding behaviour.

Biological toxicological inspections that are important for the medical field in accordance with ISO 10993, FDA and USP class VI are available for Moldflon™.
