Since the project was completed, there is no longer any trace of the former cafeteria. A large, inviting guest lounge has taken its place. Three conference rooms outfitted with multimedia equipment have been added there as well. “We have already had an opportunity to welcome our first business partners in our customer center,” Stefan Hohberger said. In his role as project manager, he was part of the remodeling project from the very start. “We are happy that everything went well and would like to thank all of the construction companies and planners for their work.”
The remodeling will benefit not only the company’s customers, but also its employees. Thanks to the new sound-insulated meeting zones on the second and third floors of the Samarium, the company’s approximately 600 employees at the headquarters now have more places to hold internal meetings.
The architectural firm Weidner Architekten designed and planned the project. Managing Director Axel Weidner is more than satisfied with the outcome: “It is great to see how our vision was turned into a reality. The customer center, the redesigned reception area and the conference boxes – all elements blend together and create a harmonious look. They lend a modern, timeless character to the building while offering optimal functionality.”
