Helmbrechts– In September last year Nina Bäuml started her dual education program of studies in medical engineering with in-depth practical training at RAUMEDIC. Today, one year later, she knows that she has made the right decision. “With this kind of dual degree program I am able to combine theory and practice. During semester breaks I can put my theoretical knowledge acquired from my studies directly into practice and expand it in the company”, says Ms Bäuml.
The Dual Education Program in Medical Engineering takes place at RAUMEDIC in collaboration with the East Bavarian Technical University of Amberg-Weiden. The brand-new medical technology building complex provides plenty of laboratory spaces for the students, where they can become familiar with materials and devices and the human body as well.
Since the future professionals make their way through various departments at RAUMEDIC during their semester breaks, they learn about real-life processes and correlations already while they are still at university. Due to the participation in current projects they can apply the knowledge they have acquired to their day-to-day work. “We are pleased that we can offer young professionals this kind of career perspective,” says RAUMEDIC training manager Walter Reingruber. “Developing the skills of our employees is very important to us. We are glad whenever we benefit from new talents and are able to support their future career.”
