RAUMEDIC extrudes high pressure tubing with and without thread reinforcement, which are used in coronary angiography. The usual pressure requirements for this type of application are usually up to 1200 psi (corresponds to approx. 80 bar). Our products are able to withstand such pressures and are thus optimally suited for this type of application.
The material of choice for reinforced high-pressure tubing is thermoplastic polyurethane (RAUMEDIC-PUR). It provides the tubing with excellent flexibility and transparency despite its high pressure resistance.
Alternatively, it is possible to meet high pressure requirements by using coextruded multilayer tubing.
