Long Term Supplier Declaration |
By providing proof of a good’s preferential origin, an exporter of goods to numerous countries (e.g. Switzerland, Norway, Chile, Mexico,…) can benefit from considerable custom duty relies or even custom duty exemptions.
This proof can be established by showing to the customs authorities that the goods meet the criteria of the relevant preferential customs treaty. For traded goods and raw materials this happens via a supplier declaration which we request from our immediate preliminary supplier.
Supplier declarations are required for the following purposes:
- Proof of eligibility for preferential origin treatment of our own exports
- As a preliminary document that is legally required for us to issue a supplier declaration to our own customers
- Proof of origin for commodities (raw materials)
- Proof of origin for the Chambers of Commerce and Industry when creating certificates of origin
