The RAUMEDIC rectal catheter REKTOBAR makes precise pressure measurements in the lower gastrointestinal tract. It is possible to use the catheter to measure the abdominal pressure in the rectum, in order to counterbalance a continuous pressure increase from the abdomen.

Several different REKTOBAR pressure catheters are available to be used in the field of proctology. The number and structure of the pressure sensors in the catheter used to measure rectal pressure, the diameter of the catheter, and the option for an additional lumen depend on its composition. It is very easy to adapt the REKTOBAR to commonly used urodynamic measuring stations.
